Quick look
A pet session fee for one pet is $200 and $25 for each additional pet in the same session.
A session lasts UP TO 90mins.
Within 10 business days you'll receive a password protected online gallery of 20 or more of the very best shots from the session. This depends entirely on how cooperative your pet is during the session.
From the gallery you can make your digital image purchases. See price list below.
Each image is completely retouched by me to make sure your pet looks their best!
I prefer in-studio sessions, but on-location sessions are available if determined necessary. Dying, disabled, and farm animals are good examples.
I do not photograph any animals that will be slaughtered for consumption.
Meet Ed!
Ed is my trusty assistant who helps me while we shoot. He adjusts my lights and helps grab attention from your pets!
Animals LOVE Ed!!
What you and your pet can expect while in the studio
Getting Acquainted:
I like spending a little time getting acquainted with your pet, allowing them to sniff around and become familiar with the new surroundings. This helps build a connection and reduces anxiety.
Flash Photography:
I use studio strobe lights in all of my sessions. The strobes flash bursts of light and make a quiet pop sound. This sometimes causes funny reactions like head tilts!
Backgrounds:
I mostly use black, white and/or gray solid colored backgrounds in my studio portraits. They are large rolls of paper rolled out creating a seamless look. This is the only style I offer in-studio.
Posing and Direction:
I will do my absolute best to guide your pet through various poses and activities to capture natural and expressive moments. More than likely, I will need your help directing your pet. You know them best and they will look to you for cues and comfort too.
Treats and Rewards:
I may use treats or toys to capture your pet's attention and encourage specific behaviors. Feel free to bring your pet's favorite treats to make the experience enjoyable for them. * IF YOUR PET HAS ANY FOOD ALLERGIES PLEASE BRING THEIR TREATS.
Patience is Key:
Pet photography sessions require patience. Pets may need time to adjust to the new environment and there’s no telling when they’ll decide they’re relaxed enough.
Retouching Services
$20 per image
Your gallery is not edited. Retouching is where I take them to magazine quality!
I do my best to remove dander, dirt, stray hairs, eye goobers, whiten teeth and eyes and remove anything else that doesn’t belong.
Some rules
Leash and Containment:
Pets must be kept on a leash or in a secure carrier until the photo session begins to avoid any unexpected interactions with other pets, businesses and/or people within the building.
Behavioral Expectations:
Owners must have control over their pets at all times. Aggressive or overly anxious pets may be asked to leave if their behavior poses a risk to others or the equipment.
Patience and Calm Environment:
Patience is crucial in pet photography. You are encouraged to remain calm and patient during the session to create a positive experience for your pet.
Studio Limits:
There may be limits on the number of people or pets allowed in the shooting area at one time. This is to maintain a controlled and focused environment.
Session Duration:
Pet photography sessions are allocated a specific timeframe. Clients are expected to arrive on time, and additional time may be billed for sessions that extend beyond the agreed-upon duration.
No Unattended Pets:
Pets should not be left unattended in the studio at any time. If an owner needs to step away, arrangements should be made with the photographer.
Payment and Cancellation Policy:
Your session payment is due at the time of the session. Please contact me at least 24hrs prior to your scheduled session if you need to cancel or reschedule. Canceled appointments and no-show’s could incur a $50 fee depending on the circumstances.
